The Wuyi Mountain Nature Reserve The Wuyi Mountain Nature Reserve is south of the main peak of the Wuyi Mountain chain, while the nature reserve's administration headquarters are located in Sangang, 40 kilometres west of the scenic area. The nature reserve occupies an area of about 57,000 hectares and is on average 1,200 metres above sea level. Mount Huanggang, 2,158 metres above sea level, is the tallest peak in Southeast China.
Wu Yi Shan Preserve is a paradise for the wild animals. People call it the "world of insects", "heaven of birds" and "kingdom of snakes". In 1999, it was listed as a world cultural heritage site by UNESCO.
Chengcun Hancheng Site The site is located in hills rising and falling on the ground. southwest of Wuyi City and is the national key cultural relic preservation unit the city location presents the shape of the rectangle. 860 meters in length, 550 meters in width, with the whole area of 480,000 square meters.
Duzhou She Nationaltiy Natural Village Located at the foot of the picturesque Wuyi Mountain, there is a natural village called Duzhou, which is the only natural village of ethnic minority of Wuyi City.
Situated in the South of the urban area of Wuyi City, the whole village presents a long shape, with an arch stone bridge across in front of the village.
Houses built along the road, a river running across, willow on the bank, fragrance of green tea in the air, all these form a pleasant rural scenery.
